If you created an account but didn’t receive the confirmation email, here are a few things you can check:

Is the confirmation email in your spam or junk folder?

Try searching all your mailboxes for emails from 'NCAL Learning.' If your institution quarantines spam emails, you may need to contact your IT department to release the email from quarantine or check any spam filters they manage. You may also want to ask them to add noreply@learn.agliteracy.org to the approved sender list to ensure future emails are delivered.

Is the email you’re using a school email address?

Depending on your school’s security settings, they may reject all emails from a noreply address. The account confirmation emails come from <noreply@learn.agliteracy.org> so they may be rejected entirely. If you think this might be the case, you can either (1) create an account with a different email address, or (2) send us a message and we can manually confirm your account. If you choose option 2, you will also want to work with your IT department to get all emails from noreply@learn.agliteracy.org on the approved sender list. This will help ensure future emails from us get delivered.

Did you enter your email address correctly?

If you think you might have entered your email address incorrectly, you can return to the account creation page and re-enter your information.

If you’re getting an "invalid login" error when trying to sign in, here are a few things you can check:

When you first signed in, did you do so with Google?

If you originally signed in with Google, you just need to select the "Continue with Google" button on the sign-in page. Make sure you're using the same Google account that was linked when you initially signed in. If you are having trouble with your Google account, you’ll need to reset your password with Google directly.

Is the username or email you entered correct?

Double-check that the username or email address you entered on the sign in page is correct.

Is your password correct?

An incorrect password is the main cause of the error. To fix it, just reset your password by selecting ‘Forgot password?’ on the sign in page. Then follow the prompts to reset your password.

Are you sure you have a confirmed account?

If this is your first time signing in, you’ll first need to create an account (or sign in with Google) and verify your email address to confirm your account. Only after confirming your account will you be able to sign in.

You can change your email address from your profile. You will be required to verify the change from your old email address. If you no longer have access to this email account, please contact us.

You can add or change the profile picture for your account from your profile.

You can update your timezone from your profile.

Yes, you can pay for someone else to take a course. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the course page in the Course Catalog and choose one of the “Enroll Others” options. You can purchase enrollments for one or more individuals. Note: You will need to create an account on NCAL Learning to make a purchase. This account is for you as the purchaser, not for the person you ultimately want to be enrolled in the course. This person will create their own account later when they go to use the enrollment key you provide.
2. Complete the payment process.
3. After payment, you will receive an enrollment key. This key is a unique code that can be used to enroll in the course. It will be emailed to you and can also be found in your purchase order details.
4. Share the enrollment key with the person you are paying for by forwarding the confirmation email you receive. The email contains both the key and instructions on how the recipient can use it to enroll in the course.
5. The recipient of the enrollment key will follow the instructions in the email to create their own account, enter the key, and be enrolled in the course.

Yes, you can purchase enrollments for a group. Follow these steps:

1. Go to the course page in the Course Catalog and choose one of the “Enroll Others” options. You can purchase enrollments for up to 20 people (if you need more than this, please contact us). Note: You will need to create an account on NCAL Learning to make a purchase. This account is for you as the purchaser, not for the people you ultimately want to be enrolled in the course. These people will create their own accounts later when they go to use the enrollment key you provide.
2. Complete the payment process.
3. After payment, you will receive an enrollment key. This key is a unique code that can be used to enroll multiple people in the course (up to the number of enrollments you purchased). The key will be emailed to you and can also be found in your purchase order details.

5. The recipients of the enrollment key will follow the instructions in the email to create their own account, enter the key, and be enrolled in the course.

When your group members use the enrollment key to enroll, they will automatically be placed in the same group within the course and so can use group messaging features to communicate within the course (if they want to).

If you get an error like “We weren't able to add this card”, it indicates an issue between your card and the PayPal system. These are a few things to check:

Are you sure the card number, expiration date, and security code are correct?

You might want to try clearing your cache or using a different browser in case there’s an issue with the autofill data.

Are you sure the name and zip code you entered match what’s associated with the credit card?

The name and zip code must match the billing information for the credit card.

Is it possible the credit card you’re using is associated with a PayPal account?

If the credit card you’re trying to use is linked to a PayPal account, PayPal may block the transaction for security reasons. You will need to do one of the following: (1) sign in to your PayPal account to complete the transaction, or (2) use a different credit card.

Are there any restrictions on your card?

Some organizations block PayPal transactions on cards they issue to employees. This is common with P-Cards. If you want to pay with a P-Card or a card that’s blocked PayPal transactions, please send us a message.

No, you do not need a PayPal account to make a purchase. However, if you are experiencing errors when trying to checkout and pay with a credit card, it might be because that credit card is linked to a PayPal account. In that case, PayPal may block the transaction for security reasons. You will need to do one of the following: (1) sign in to your PayPal account to complete the transaction, or (2) use a different credit card.

If you were given free enrollment for a course, you should have received an email from us (NCAL Learning) with an invitation to join the course. If you did not receive this email or encounter any issues accessing the course, please send us a message.

You can get a PDF receipt for your purchases from your purchase history page. This page is linked from your profile.

If it’s within 30 days of purchase and you haven’t accessed course materials, you can contact us to request a refund.

If it’s within 30 days of purchase and the enrollment keys have not expired (unused keys expire on December 31st), you can contact us to request a refund for the unused key(s). Once an enrollment key is used by someone to access the course, that enrollment key is used and is not eligible for refund.

To move forward, you must fully complete the lesson activity – whether it's a quiz or a free-response prompt. In quiz-type activities, that means answering all questions correctly. In free-response activities, that means submitting a complete response.

If you're stuck, it’s often because one or more answers were incorrect, even if your score was close to 100%. Note that for "select all" questions, you must check all the correct options — and none of the incorrect ones — to get the question correct.

In general, yes, you are free to use course content in your own work. Course content is licensed under a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, which means you can reuse and adapt course content provided you (1) attribute the National Center for Agricultural Literacy and (2) you don’t use the content for commercial purposes (i.e., you cannot legally copy course content and sell it).

You can save any course page as a PDF. To do this, press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Command+P (Mac) then “Save as PDF” or “Print to PDF”.

Our courses are designed to be highly visual and interactive, and much of that experience will be lost in a PDF format. Since you have ongoing access to the course, we recommend revisiting the content online whenever possible to get the full experience.
